Course Summary

The ISSA Master of Yachts – Multihull Course is an intensive ten-day programme for highly experienced sailors progressing beyond Offshore Skipper level and preparing for assessment at Master of Yachts level.

Throughout the course you’ll refine advanced navigation, passage planning, multihull handling, seamanship and command skills while developing the judgement and leadership required to manage a blue-water multihull sailing yacht safely and effectively.

The programme includes advanced theory, practical training and assessment, culminating in written, oral and practical examinations. Successful candidates who achieve the required standard are awarded the ISSA Master of Yachts qualification.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to prepare well in advance of the course.
Master of Yachts requires substantial existing knowledge and experience, and advance study of the ISSA course material will help you prepare for the intensive training and assessment.

The official ISSA Master of Yachts Handbook is available separately through our online shop and provides valuable reference material before and after your training.
